Bethan Waddington joined the team as Training Manager in September 2017 and is now Director of Programmes and BAISIS . In her role, Bethan coordinates all webinars, training opportunities, day seminars, conferences, INSET and Consultancy for the Group. She believes that confident and well-trained practitioners can be a positive force for young people and their development and, in order to fully support the needs of others, practitioners can never learn too much. As such, she is passionate about the CPD offered across BSA Group in the UK and worldwide.
Before joining BSA Group, Bethan worked in two independent boarding schools in the UK and Switzerland, the latter as Housemistress. Following her time in Switzerland, she was a Pastoral Manager for an inner-city state academy, involved in a range of multi-agency interventions to provide support. After this, Bethan moved into the charity sector for Debrett’s running the ‘Debrett’s Foundation’ training programme to provide life skills and training opportunities to underprivileged but high achieving teens, promoting social mobility and championing the achievement and potential of young people.
